David Lanigan graduated with an Honours B.Arch Degree from the Faculty of Architecture, University College Dublin in 1986 and has been with the Practice since 1990. He became an Associate in 1997 and a Partner in 1999. He is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
David worked in London for a number of years for respected architects including Nicholas Lacey Jobst & Hyett before returning to Dublin to join the firm.
David has a particular interest in public buildings and how the experience of people using them can be enhanced . He is closely involved in all his projects from design inception right through to the handover of the completed building and offers a 'hands on' service.
His projects have included the award winning Helix Performing Arts Centre in Dublin City University . He has wide experience in a variety of building types including the Student Centre in University College Cork, various residential projects and has extensive experience in Healthcare Buildings including Health Centres in Swords, Ballymun and Brookfield in Dublin. He has also handled a number of projects abroad including Sobanski Palace Office Building in Poland and the Irish World Heritage Centre in Manchester. Latterly David is involved with major Masterplanning & Urban Design Projects and new Town Centre large scale commercial, mixed-use Projects.
David is a member of the RIAI Safety Health & Welfare Taskforce and leads the firms Health & Safety Services.
David is joint Managing Director of A&D Wejchert & Partners with Patrick Fletcher
