The main facade of the Psychiatric unit faces south and west, and has fine views towards the ponds in the public park.

The Psychiatric unit is designed on two levels; Bedroom accomodation for in-patients are located on the lower ground floor, while day activity are on the upper ground level. The garden, closely related to day activities, is located on the higher ground floor level.
Gable walls, pitched roofs, plaster of various colours - all these elements create the very specific character of this building which integrates well into the image of a small Irish town.
