The building provides a range of high-quality courses in the areas of catering, hospitality, leisure and tourism. The student will acquire a comprehensive education in hospitality and tourism. The many different functions of the building are brought together in linear form, which curves at its western end to express the informal public spaces. The building is expressed as a solid element, with glazed recesses punched out of the solid massing of the building to bring daylight into the deep plans. The large drum gives the building a strong presence on the site as it is seen from the cork road.
