Fergal Kelly graduated with an Honours BSc Degree in Building Surveying from South Bank University, London in 1996, obtained a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1997 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College, Dublin in 2005. He is a Chartered Architectural Technologist, a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. Since 1997, Fergal has worked on a broad range of building types in various offices, in Ireland and the UK. He joined Wejchert Architects in 1999 and became an Associate in 2019.

Fergal is an architectural technologist with extensive post qualification experience that includes detail design, planning, fire safety and DAC applications preparation, tender preparation, contract administration, and project management. On all projects, he works closely with the client’s staff and contractors and the relevant statutory bodies, to ensure all aspects and logistical details are correctly incorporated in the building.

Fergal has experience in working on a range of large scale projects involving retail, office, education, healthcare and sport. This experience includes involvement in the expansion of the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and Retail Park over a number of years, working to deliver the Penney’s Unit and multi storey Blue car park, Fashion Park and the Red Mall to name a few and a large retail development in Balbriggan, north Co. Dublin. He worked on the PPP Bundle 2 to deliver the 1,000 pupil Kildare Community School to completion in 2011. Healthcare projects include delivering the Acute Medical Assessment Unit & Day Services for the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise in 2016. He is currently acting as ER to deliver Phase 3 of this project. Since 2012, he has being involved in all phases of the Leopardstown Racecourse re-development. Phase 3 of this project is due for completion in Summer 2020.

Fergal is currently involved in a new 1000 pupil Post Primary School at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Clontarf, Dublin 3 and Primary Care Centres in Drumcliff and Grange Co. Sligo for the HSE.
