Brian joined Wejchert Architects in 2004 as a Registered Architect. He became an Associate in 2015 and was appointed as Director in 2022. Since 1999, Before joining us, Brian worked on a broad range of building types in various architectural offices, in Ireland and abroad, including Australia and the U.S.A.
Brian worked as Project Architect on the award winning Linn Dara Child & Adolescent In-Patient Unit, at Cherry Orchard Hospital and a new 3 storey commercial office building in Finnabair Business Park, Dundalk for Irish Life. He also has experience in working on a range of large scale projects and was fully involved on a large retail development in Balbriggan, north Co. Dublin, and subsequent phases of the same development. He has experience of special care environments for children and adolescents, having overseen the refurbishment and upgrading of TUSLA’s Special Care Unit at Ballydowd in Lucan, Co. Dublin. This included a very high level of detail design and coordination, and risk assessment was continuous throughout the project. He was Project Architect for another award winning project, Pearse Street Primary Care Centre on Mark’s Lane, Dublin.
He has experience of working with heritage buildings and protected structures including an extension and renovation to Athenry Parish Centre and refurbishment of Tuam Cathedral.
Brian is also currently Project Driector on a number of projects including a new 1000 pupil Post Primary School at Mount Temple Comprehensive
School, Clontarf; a fit-out for the Health Products Regulatory Authority offices, Earlsfort Terrace; Lucan Community College development and a private house in Howth.
