Aillwee Cave is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the burren, in a wild, strange landscape created by the grey limestone hills, the atlantic, and ever-changing light and clouds.
The building is nestled into the hill, integrating with the rocks with its irregular and rugged form. From a distance it appears nearly indistinguishable from the landscape.
