The proposed site is located on lands owned by the Health Service Executive at Naas General Hospital. The hospital campus is located on the south fringe of
Naas Town and is positioned between the Ballymore and Craddockstown Roads. In hospital is situated in mainly residential area and benefits from good views over the lake to the south. Access for pedestrians and all vehicular traffic to the hospital site is from
Craddockstown Road
.
With this new proposed 2 storey over partial basement, we seek to continue the design aesthetic firmly established by Phase 1 and continued in Phase 2+3A while at the same time also incorporating a fresh interpretation. The break up of the facades echoed closely the existing pattern set and follow the clearly established modules. The windows bays project to form the difference in plane from the rendered self coloured rendered block façade and concrete cappings.
